前回のジャーナルで、「より強く輝く」ダイヤモンドのみを時間をかけて選び出しセットしている、というお話しをしました。

ダイヤモンドは上から入った光の大半を反射して戻すような形にカットされています。
「４C」という美しさの基準があるのはご存じの方も多いと思います。
私たちは、この「４C」の基準をベースにそれぞれの個性を1個1個見極めて選んでいるのです。
ダイヤモンドは自然のものです。工業製品ではありません。
しっかりとそれぞれに個性を持っているのです。

What is a “stronger and brighter” diamond?
In the previous issue of the Journal, I mentioned that OKURADO takes the time to select and set only diamonds that “shine brighter“.
So, what kind of diamonds does OKURADO select for “stronger shine”? Let me summarize them as follows.
(1) Diamonds with proportions that allow the light to return more strongly.
The way it shines changes depending on the slight difference in angle when viewed from the side.
(2) Those with a strong sense of transparency
Diamonds with a clear brilliance “like the air on a clear winter morning”.
(3) Excellent polishing
A diamond that has been polished to the highest shine.
(4) A diamond with a powerful brilliance that is inherent to the stone.
Diamonds of the same shape and proportion shine differently depending on the diamond.
Diamonds are cut in such a way that they reflect most of the light that enters from above.
As many of you know, there is a standard of beauty called “4C”.
We select each diamond individually based on these “4C” criteria.
Diamonds are a natural product. They are not industrial products.
Each diamond has its own unique characteristics.
